This is the second time watching this and it still makes me laugh. The punchline is perfect. Its short and sweet. You're animation is improving. Just keep making em man

SuperDupeTroop responds:

Thanks alot man, I'll be trying to post more soon

Pretty Good!

Very good for your first animation man haha! I think for the walk cycle you should make the delay the walk start for each person walking so that it doesn't look like they walk at the exact same rate. Just have to change the start frame for your symbol. Other than that its very good, just gotta keep making content and you'll get better over time. Peace

Darkessence responds:

thx dude hope to make more soon when i buy a pen for my wacom.. n thx for the advice ill make sure i try it out..

Sick man... just sick

Man you just blew my mind man haha! I love the robots movement as the music picks up. You did a sick job man. SICKKKKK! Thats all I have to say.

TheBoogley responds:

indeed, that is all you have to say.
I am now yours my friend, yours.

Brings Me Back

Really liked the old school feel of this man haha. Definitely felt like you had fun making this which makes it even better when watching it. Also nice shout out to Nogfish... he's the man forreal! Favd

SimonG responds:

:3 Thanks man.
Yeah I really had fun making this.
Also, I knew I wouldn't make this very long, so it was even funnier in a way...

Pretty good

I remember watching "One More Minute" about a year ago and this is definitely a step up as far as animation goes. Don't get me wrong, I really liked that cartoon, but this one shows great improvement in using some great frame by frame techniques and staying close to tweening as well, which is never a bad thing (unless its just a tween that serves no purpose). Anyways, the characters were well drawn out and I love that fact that you didn't decide to use sprites, so extra points for that
As for the story, It was interesting. I may be the only one, but i didn't really understand what was going on. What I grasped was that toad was just showing mario different levels of hell with memorable characters from the game in there. Some people might understand it so I wont take points for that (I understand this is a school project)
I'm impressed that you went out of your way to voice act it. I wouldn't have worked any other way. I didn't particularly like the voice acting (not saying youre bad, but i just didn't work for me). You should probably try to get free voice actors online. They could have done a better job and I know plenty always looking for work.
Overall, good work and I hope to see more later this year

JonBro responds:

I know what you mean with the voices. I personally think I can voice act fairly well... unless it comes to Toad's voice. Just trying to get that high-pitch raspy sound is really hard and hurts my throat... so it isn't even entirely consistent throughout the movie.

Thanks for the review!

hahah No face Jim!

Man, I love your style Mike. Your fist episode of the series was pretty funny. My favorite part was the wikipedia scene. Anyways, the animations was on par with your usual stuff. Nothing big really changed in style or anything, which is good. Sometimes I had a problem with how the hands looked whenever they were talking. Sometimes they move well and other times they look weird and out of place. As always, Josh does an amazing job with the voice acting and the script was well written. Can't wait for the next episode man

ImpendingRiot responds:

Yeah, I'll focus more on the movement next time, lip syncing is just teeedious. Anyways, coming from an artist I admire as much as yourself, this really means a lot man, thanks.

Wow, that was beautiful

I don't understand why the score was so low. Well, I guess if it isn't funny then it doesn't get the high scores like other animations out there. As you can see, most of the top animations are all comedies and I can think of atleast 5 other animations that are way better than the ones up there. But I shouldn't complain. I think this deserves an award of some sort. The animation was really well done. The slow motion parts were especially the most impressive. I have to commend you on the effort you put on this. Hopefully you'll get your day when you kick ass score wise and get the popularity you deserve. For this, I think you just choose the wrong day. Never submit on the day you know there is gonna be a huge group of Christmas flashes. Today would have been a good day to submit. Or even yesterday. Anyways, good luck on your future efforts. Favorited

Zwickel responds:

Thanks a lot man! Your animation was great too, I can really see the effort you put into it. Well, guess maybe one of these days people will like my flashes as I'd like to. Happy Holdays. :)

Loved the Dolls

The animation was really good man, especially since you only did it in like 3 weeks. I'm glad you mustered up enough energy to get this out. My favorite part of the animation is where the dolls are braiding her hair together. I also like where the bear jumps into the girl's hands. Everything moved smoothly. The only part that probably needed work was just the pirate part. There was a particular shot where it kind of flashed and looked like the ship was already close to the screen, then it goes back to tweening from the back to the front. I don't know, there was just a problem with that shot right when it cuts to the pirate part. Other than that I thought everything else was great. Love the story and how you made the toys come to life. Good Job and Good Luck

Toonimated responds:

yea, i have no clue why that happens, it is a bug xD. some weird flash cs4 bug for using the 3D function

The Rockin' Elf

Despite the low quality sound, I really enjoyed this flash. the frame by frame animation was incredibly well done, especially the part where Santa and the elf shake hands. I generally like cartoons with the bad guy trying to foil someones plans and ends up getting hurt in the process. Reminds me of the day when I used to watch Tom and Jerry or Roadrunner. Anyways, the story ended like I thought it would because I was waiting for the band to show up :). I have to take some points off for the sound fx and there were a few gripes I had with some of the lines because I couldn't really hear everything. However, this is definitely worth checking out and good luck with the contest

smirkstudios responds:

thanks brother :D i didnt win anything, but i can always submit another :P you are a good asset to me as a friend, and have been there to answer my flash questions, so thank you, and you will be proud of your teachings soon :D thanks again :P (i would have reviewd this at a 7 or 8 as well, thanks!!!)

Gotta Love Barry White

You get extra points for using a Barry White song man. When I saw the shot of Santa shaking his butt to the music, that pretty much made me say "I'm gonna give this a five. The animation was very clean (at some points it was missing a few in-betweens, but it was still good nonetheless). I kind of wish it didn't end without finishing the song, but I thought you did a good job at giving it an end even when the song was barely over. Now I have to add this to my favorites to show my mom because she loves her some Barry White. Keep it up man... I loved every minute of this

coughing-dog responds:
