Approaching Nirvana needs you guys!!

My friends Andrew Sinclair and Sam Willson are in a band called Approaching Nirvana. You may have heard of them here on Newgrounds seeing as they have about four awesome songs in the audio portal, one of which was song of the week at one point (can't think of what week it was). If you haven't heard there songs yet, here they are below:

Anyways, they are currently trying to collect some money in order to start playing actual shows. They aren't asking for any donations, but they are entering contest and working on an E.P to get the cash flow going. They are on our stage with two songs up for best of the month in two different categories. If you have the time, go to the the links below and vote for them in the judging booth. You may have to register to vote though. Even a quick listen to the song will help or adding them to your favs:

So, that's about it. On animation news, I'm still working on Wizard Kin and got a lot done during Spring Break. Hopefully it'll be finished in mid April, but who knows. I just finished my animation project for my Animation class and it came out pretty average. Nothing super incredible, just good enough to get a B. Later in May I have to do a group stop motion project so I'll be making a music video for Approaching Nirvana in May for class. Should be really awesome. Haven't done stop motion before but I'm pretty sure I won't suck too bad.

Also, I'll be making some gear for Approaching Nirvana gear to sell in due time. I'm still coming up with some concepts that don't have any typography on them so it will appeal to more people. Next week I'll have some animation news though. Its been a busy week :P

the shirt design there, sorry to say, is a little lacking. i think the fact that youre trying to have the band's initials in there needs to be clearer, and the graphics need to be more consistent. you start with the super blocky-pixelated look, which is fine, but then you have those diagonal lines in the middle which somewhat break the pattern, and then when you get to the smoother, liquid-y part on the right it just completely clashes. it makes it feel disorganized and uncoordinated. no real focus. and again, if people dont know what this symbol is referring to, they should at least be able to make out that it's an A and an N so theyll have a hint, or at least something to remember it by.

that said, i do like the pyramid with the heart, thats a keeper. if the goop was instead dripping down the sides of the pyramid and off the bottom, i think thatd look a lot more interesting and centered.

anyway hope the shirt sells, whatevers on it, and good luck to your friends! making it in the music biz is tough stuff, i tell ya.

good stuff man! is there talk about animation for the music? i mean if i was to do something to one of their songs, could it be royalty free?

im interested in songs i dont have to hand over my life savings to do animation for, so im interested, maybe could an animator do a deal with them?

let me know, good to see your keeping busy, unlike me... :(
