Man, its been a good while since I created a post. I wish I was on the internets more often (well I am now because school is over so that's a good start). Sometimes I tell myself there is never enough time. Somehow, I was able to make time out of my busy schedule to make a cartoon called Collin and the Wishing Tree.

Basically, it all started after watching The Misadventures of Flapjack. I know, what the heck! Anyways, after watching this cartoon, it inspired me to get back into animation and try to make a cartoon you would see on cartoon network. So for a week or so, I practiced my drawing style and came up with some good sketches. Then I scouted for a voice actor. I found that the infamous Tomamoto had made story called Collin and the wishing tree (it had me laughing my arse off). We went over his awesome story of a boy who finds a wishing tree and is granted three wishes and how i wanted to animated. He was SO excited to hear his story was going being animated. I honestly can't wait to finish this baby. I've been working on it longer than i ever worked on a cartoon before. I actually sat down and took my time making this so hopefully you will enjoy it when I release it.

I can say right now this is better than anything i ever made EVER. Now that I look back, there are alot of things I could've done better, but I was inexperienced back then. Actually, I'm still learning stuff about flash that I didn't know and I've been doing this for about three years. Right now I'm at the process of wrapping up the animation portion. I didn't want to make a post until I was sure everything was pretty much done on the animation side. I usually would make a post right when I start making an animation, but this had to be a sure thing before I just declared "Hey, this cartoon is coming soon guys".

When I say soon, I mean a week or so. Here is the overall progress
Animation: 90% done (all fbf)
Coloring: So far the coloring is being done right now by my main man Frozenfire. He is working like a kid in a sweat shop (Ah, child labor :D). He's staying up extra late to get it done
Backgrounds:5% I wanted to do animation before I do backgrounds Plus, all the backgrounds are gonna be made in Gimp (its a program like photoshop)
Lipsync: 5% Again, animation comes first :P

I definitely will make sure tomamoto will piss his pants when he sees this. I havent shown him much, but I want to make him proud. Hopefully I make you guys proud too

In other news, after this animation, I will probably chill for a day or two before working on another project. Lefthandsock has something in store for me and I really really want to make something for either madness day or clock day. I think thats everything for now. Look out for Collin and the Wishing Tree, its gonna be the longest Ive ever worked on a cartoon. So far its been about 2 and a half weeks and I'm only finishing the animation :P
