Whats the best way to turn my swf. into a video file?

Export it as a .mov, but make sure to remove all the actionscripting that deals with stopping the movie or redirecting the Scene 01 to Scene 09 rather than just letting the movie go to Scene 02. For some reason you video might lag on Youtube if you post it as a .mov so just convert the .mov into an MPEG2 or AVI and it should play fine on Youtube. This works for me and I use Vista.

thanks man, I'll try that

oh nooooo!!! commissions? we've lost him! i think 30 dollars a minute is like wallmart... try 45... id pay you...

ynooo...? boxman (hint hint)

first episode should be like 4 minutes long.. then again i still dont have that kind of money... its a good question...

i would pay a collective, but thats just me... you always want to figure out the price up front... so first figure out what kind of work needs to be done.. then figure out how long its going to take... then calculate a price...

then theres a question... am i doing it right? what happens if you do a commission and the customer doesnt like it.. doesnt think its quite perfect.. do you charge to repair the damage?

commissions are complicated... what i suggest is if you want to make some money... get into a project you think will make money and submit to be apart of it.. then you can make a percentage on t-shirts and what-not...

just an idea, because it goes conveniently with my plans (MUAHAHAHAHA!!!)

and hey if you want to see a crappy prototype of boxman have a look here...

blogger.com hmm.....

It may help when naming a price to consider how much time it would take you and how much you want to make hourly. It's much easier for programmers because it usually works out >$50/hour so if it's going to take a week it's $500 minumum.

If someone's budget is $100, 20 seconds is already stretching it but if they insist give them something you can brick out in 3 to 7 hours.
